How to build a cylindrical concrete planter

Concrete projects are really DIY friendly and really fun! In this video I’ll teach you how to make cylindrical concrete planters using plastic buckets. These can be used indoors or outdoors and make great home decor with a modern look.

Materials and Tools

-Concrete mix (I used Quikrete 5000)
-5 gallon bucket
-2 gallon bucket
-Mixing bucket (2 gallon is good but any size works)
-House wrap tape

Tools:
-concrete trowel
-utility knife
-open end hack saw
-masonry drill bit (for drainage hole)

Template for aligning buckets

Getting the two buckets properly spaced is the trickiest part of making the planters, but is easy if you cut these alignment blocks! Download the PDF template for the spacer blocks I explained in the video here:
